BATTLEGROUND

Airsoft in the YubaCity / Marysville area.

I am looking to upgrade the spring in my Tokyo Marui G3 sas. it is currently all stock except an extended (non-tightbore that i took from another gun) so it only shoots about 250 fps. i would like to upgrade to around 350 but the types of springs confuse me right now. (like the sp-100 or sp-150, what is the difference?) Also, do i need to do any other upgrades to it to make it run smoothly or can i just add the spring? Thanks

Well my first reccomendation, is because it's TM is to keep it stock. TM guns have a perfectly sealed/made gearbox which goes away soon as you open it.

That being said, the difference is basically tension. An sp100 or m100 is going to hit you right around the 350 fps mark. the higher the number, the stronger the spring (in general). Depending on the gun and motor, an m120 should put you closer to 400 fps. but in my friend's gun an m120 put him about 360 so it depends on the gun i would think as well. you will need to upgrade probably some parts. Not sure what would need to be upgraded in a TM though.

Oh, ok, thanks.
If you are looking at increasing your velocity, consider the fact that if you put in a stronger spring without upgrading to a high torque motor, you could drastically reduce your ROF. My p90 shoots around 370, but I want to reduce my FPS and increase my ROF with a high speed motor so i can do better while playing indoors. But its all up to you. Hope i helped a little.
ok, then i will not do any internal upgrades yet, other than a tight-bore maybe.
Thanks guys.
