Both those terms are truer, and a better description.

It is a CA-25 SPR, modeled after the SR25 Match Rifle originally designed by Eugine Stoner.

It is much like calling a mag a clip. It's just wrong. Airsoft is even more fun when you know a bit about what operators portray in the field of a Mil-Sim environment. They should know how to move, shoot, and work within their team.

What should i call it then? a scoped rifle? rifle?

I have only known two Airsoft operators who I would say meet the qualifications to be a sniper. Many call themselves sniper and actually perform more as a DM. And most are unskilled and unequipped to fulfill even the role of DM. Too much Hollywood.

(It's a pet-peve of mine when a rifle is called a sniper; as in I want to buy a 'sniper')

Oh, haha! you were talking about the hat i was talking about the gun. :) So i take it that you guys don't really do "sniper"? Just the DM as part of a squad?

Kattiana in the center, is carrying her CA25 SPR. She is a DM on Diamond Corps team.

(A sniper is a marksman who shoots at people from a concealed place)
