BUGZ are an alternative to masks which have a tendency to fog in high or low temperatures. BUGZ are a mesh goggle; though they cannot fog they offer no protection to the face and create issues when identifying targets in low light situations. The use of BUGZ is recommended only for open areas where close combat is very unlikely. BUGZ low profile design allows operators to wear helmets or other headgear.
