Event Description

This event is open to new and veteran operators.

Field Donation is $10.

Operators may arrive between 0800 and 0900 for check-in and chrono.

Operations will be described by OPCOM at morning briefing.

Weapons and Ammo:

ALL operators are required to follow the House Rules.

NO weapon may fire greater than 400fps using .25 gram BB's.

No AEG may fire an ammo grade higher than .25 grams without approval from the Marshal.

Eye Protection:

SEALED eye protection must be worn while on the field. Marshals will not allow an operator on the field if they regard the operator’s eye protection to be unsafe.

Red Death Rag: Experienced operators are expected to bring and use a Red Rag which represents that the operator has been ‘hit’. It is recommended that each operator have one.

Teams:

Teams will be divided by OPCOM after morning briefing.

Power, Water, and Restrooms are on site.

Comment by Komissar on May 12, 2014 at 10:41pm: Nice find Zack. Fun to watch. As shown on the video, rifle rounds goes right through. I am impressed it stopped the 9mm, but I don't think your arm would be anything but a bloody broken mess after the first round due to the force of impact.

Comment by Edric on May 11, 2014 at 7:55pm: Well sure John, but the riot shield is part of your gear, and gear hits count... So it's like walking around with a man sized target that makes a distinct sound when hit.

Comment by John Jensen on May 11, 2014 at 7:20pm: When we went to the field in Anderson recently they allow riot shields but you are not allowed to carry any weapons. I think that would be fair if someone wants to bring one out. :)

I am unaware of any hand carried shield which will stop any round. This is a video game lie sold to the public. Riot shields are to stop rocks and bottles. They do not stop bullets.
