  Peshmurga fighters to prepare the Northern Front of OIF. These were t
 he advance forces of Task Force Viking.\nTask Force Viking was the com
 mand responsible for the northern front during Operation Iraqi Freedom
  Rotation. It secured the northern oil fields; prevented the Iraqi Arm
 y from defending Baghdad. Task Force Viking conducted unconventional w
 arfare, special reconnaissance, direct action, and call-for-fire missi
 ons in order to disrupt and fix Iraqi forces arrayed along the \"Green
  Line\".\n\nThe TF motto was \"Concede Nothing.\"\n\nFacing Task Force
  Viking were divisions of the Iraqi Republican Guard, Mechanized infan
