OPERATION: SILVER STAR
(6Feb68) The Battle of Lang Vei was a battle of the Vietnam War fought between elements of the NVA and Detachment A-101, 5th Special Forces Group. Lang Vei was an American Special Forces camp, located approximately 7 km (4.5 mi) west of the Khe Sanh Combat Base in Quang Tri Province, in the northwestern corner of the Republic of Vietnam (RVN or South Vietnam), near its borders with the DRV and the Kingdom of Laos. The camp was constructed in 1967 for operations of the Civilian Irregular Defense Groups (CIDG) along the Laotian frontier. It was overwhelmed by North Vietnamese forces on 7 February 1968.

Katie and FlapJack are a go.

So far we will be meeting in Grass Valley at 0700 for carpool. And then likely pick up in Rocklin, and on to the AO.

Tiger Stripe (Jungle) or Olive Drab (OD's) are correct for the time period. I just picked up some stuff for my kit at Swensons in Grass Valley.
Like Sproket said, Cimmerians just want you to do what you can.

Normal woodland is not period correct. late 60's woodland looks pretty different.
OD is best bet. But like the Cimmerians say, just do your best.

In od uniforms it shows woodland or wood you prefer solid color?

The Cimmerians put on a fun event. They do request that operators attempt to wear a uniform of the era they are portraying. The VN era is an easy one to get gear for, and lends a lot to the experience.
They are less concerned with operators carrying the right looking weapon, although they are strict about the fps limits of 400 using .20 gram ammo.
I am looking for a good turnout, and I have already talked to a few of you to arrange the date. Let's bring the Corps together for another long ,dusty, hot march into enemy territory. I have met quite a few operators who aren't on the team, and this would be another great opportunity to work as a team.
Always attack into the ambush!
And if you don't want to join us as the US forces, you can always do the VC thing.
