It appears someone added as an operator by the name of "Precious Romeo" is attempting to lure other users requesting to receive private conversation emails directly in what could be an attempt at phishing or some other data gathering attempt.
so the guys and I figured with all the fires that mission day Oct 14 is most likely canceled. We understand your dealing with alot but just wanted to see if it's canceled
No.. not quite. Close though-- I recently retired from the military and relocated back to Sacramento. Last assignment was in Germany. However, I've travelled a lot and had the opportunity to play in some pretty amazing events in some pretty awesome places.
Hi ya kris, i hope is well. I've been so very busy i am getting ready to start a new job and buy a house and get married. Miss all of you guys at diamond corps. Hoping after getting settled to make some time come out and say hi at the very least. Take care my friend. Cheers worm out;-)
Ok great... we will have you listed as a private field. Is it ok for people to know you have a field? IE like we can now... i can find your site and see you have events, but I have to be invited to participate.
There are two options for how we will list people... private/exclusive and private/unlisted.
If you are exclusive people will see that you have a field, see pics and you can list about your fields purpose... but they will have to ask permission to participate (IE they will not see the event listings). If you grant permission then they can see the events and ask to be part. This protects you from people just wandering in to a game or trying to be part of things without your permission... but lets them know about you.
If you are unlisted... then you are stealth, no one will see anything at all unless you reach out to them first.
You have such an awesome field, and you are already showing it off on the web, I would love to at least let people know you exist... helps promote the sport too, knowing that these kinds of fields are out there. Its your call completely of course, I will list you either way... for us just getting you in the system is more important... so you can take advantage of the tools we are creating (and we can come out and play with you guys someday ;)
Thanks for liking the Airsoft C3 page! We'll keep you posted.
Ok so now I see that the mail said "do not respond" *sigh* so now my response to you was weeks ago but you never got it. Here is what I sent you on March 20th in response.. sorry for it taking so long.
Hey Chris!
That is really cool that you run a private field... and I can totally understand feeling spoiled with an epic field. I haven't seen it personally obviously but some of the pics make it looks pretty epic. Someday maybe our team can make our way up there to play with you guys :)
So private fields and Airsoft C3... we are actually talking to a few guys like you... where you want to keep your field sort of off the radar. Here is what we would like to do with your type of field... We would like to put it into our system but it would not show up in any searches that people would do. This way you are part of AC3 and your team can be listed and you can participate in all the stuff we are planning to do, publicly.... but your field will remain exclusive and private. Then you can reach out to players, teams or whoever and give them either permanent access to your private field (to see whats going on, they would still need to be invited and pay) or you can give them single event access when you want them to participate. This way as all the social networking and tools come online to help Teams, Players, Fields... you can can be right in the mix.
We have thought a LOT about how to handle a private field. We REALLY want the whole community to have a voice and a place on our site.. and at the same time be sensitive to how you guys run your games differently.
Do me a favor and "like" our Airsoft C3 FB page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Airsoft-C3/208587785994013 this way as we discuss new features and start releasing (phase 1 will be out in June) you can follow what we are doing. As we get closer to launch I'd love to find a way to meet with you and to give you a bigger view of our plans... get your thoughts/input.
Ok, thanks for getting back to me, hope to talk to you soon.
THANK YOU for a Great day! I enjoyed the event Very Much! I especially enjoyed the friendly conversation after the event was over. I have not have had this type of camaraderie in a very long time, probably since my WWII reenacting days. I have made a decision, I don't want to be known as a 'WWII reenactor' anymore, I want to be known as a Diamond Corps Operator. I truly believe in the Diamond Corps values and their goals. As a chef, a long time production lighting technician and as a USAF Veteran that you must work as a team to accomplish any goal or objective. My wife Robin made a comment to me earlier today after listening to my stories from yesterday, she basically stated that I looked very happy and that I was very at ease before and after yesterdays event. Again, Thank You! Ghost Pirate
Komissar, Thank you for welcoming me to Battleground! I look forward to meeting you and the who group of Operators. Looks like a Great group of people.
Thank you for including me. You've done a good thing here by starting this group. People are having a good time in the pics, and I had a good time watching all the videos. I'm eager to get started, and look forward to meeting you this Sat.
