BRIEFING: Indo-Pakistani War of 1999: Commonly known as Kargil War, this conflict between the two countries was intense but limited. Pakistani troops infiltrated across the Line of Control (LoC) and occupied Indian territory in the Kargil district. India launched a major military campaign and used 9 Para (SF) to flush out the infiltrators. Pakistan was forced to withdraw its forces back across the LoC.
Operators will tackle high altitude terrain this engagement.

UNIFORM LOADOUT
You will never be turned away if you do not have authentic era gear. They are trying to make it feel like you are in an actual combat zone in the high Kashmir. They ask that you try to meet the load out requirements. The closer your can get to authentic impressions, the better the experience will be for you and the other participants. If you do not have modern gear, no problem.
We have had several inquiries from participants who want to come to the OP but are not sure they have an authentic uniform. Uniform authenticity is not critical. Attitude is more important. Try your best. It is easy to put together a uniform at little expense. Do your best, be creative, and that will be fine. If you have a full authentic uniform that is great, bring it out and be a star!
BASIC UNIFORMS
India Forces - (Ladakh Scouts and 9 Para/Commando )Any OD/British/Russian combination is recommended.
Diamond Corps Uniform: Pakistani Forces - (Special Service Group (SSG), also known as Black Storks) Any OD/US/Woodland pattern combination is recommended.

The Cimmerians allow operators to use grenades (either tornado, bang, or dummy) with the effect being that if you are within 25 feet of the location it lands you are to consider yourself dead. They may have an issue with smoke as it is incendiary. They typically run all the pyrotechnics themselves through OPCOM.
This being your first trip out, just uniform, weapon, and kit per their site rules.
Be sure to read their site rules. It's much less competitive, and more Mil-Sim.

Ill get all that info to you within the next couple of days, and i was also wondering where i could find some camo in Sac, the guys at AEX gave me a business card to some surplus store down there but ive lost it since then and was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction. i was also wondering if you guys will be allowing smoke and airsoft grenades to this event? thanks guys

ooh come on Phoenix its not your fault but if i blame you then i can still sleep in my bed..no im not going to get a gun that looks like it came out of a bad remake of BladeRunner but im loking to get a vn style m16/m4 i must have a gun to matc my new neverworn od vn loadout lol... i hate sick inlaws

LOL, nice. It's a modern OP, so it won't matter what you bring. But I would bring two so you have a backup. Food, water, red rag, compass, radio with sub-channels, woodland BDU's with whatever hat you want, and good boots.
Yep that aught to do it.
