It was postponed back in April. Apparently the game is still in the works?
Anyway, I will contact the organizers to learn more about how they planned to approach running it. Seems to me the easiest way to get an AO is to go to the national forests in the Sierra.

There's going to be Ephemeral Spectre and OP: Cold Vodka this fall / winter, and a few more with airsoftrecon.com so I'll just see how these go before I try to plan something.
I have an idea for an op that is complex, and it would probably help to have a large AO and even darkness to slow it down enough so it works. Maybe in the summer.
