Just wondering if anyone has the new "sportline" version of the KM4 and if the only difference between them is a plastic upper reciever and spring?

Found this on http://www.airsoft-squared.com/post/282/kwa-sportline-m4-series:

"The CQR models are basically KWA KM4 2GX but with a plastic lower receiver. By changing the lower receiver to plastic KWA is able to lower production time and cost, as their current models use a CNC metal lower receiver.

The release is expected to be in a March-April time frame and the retail price is currently set for $189.95. KWA will be offering two models in their CQR series; a standard length carbine and a CQB length model. Also, the muzzle velocity of each model will be about 330 FPS out of the box. Otherwise the KWA CQR series maintains the same motor, barrel, hop-up, gearbox, upper receiver, etc. as the KWA KM4 2GX series."

So it could handle a 400fps spring since its the same 2GX gearbox?

Yes.

Dont know if you are still interested but I have some of the CQR's coming in later this week. As Michael has said, exactly the same. Only main difference beside plastic lower is that they put a different cylinder in it to lower the velocity, stock it comes with a 120 spring so change out the cylinder to a type 0 or type 1 and you should be up to the 400 range. feel free to come check it out if you want, should be in thursday or friday

I have had the pleasure of using one... They are designed for .20s or so it says on the box (whereas the other kwas say they are designed for .25s.) Pretty much the same... They lack a little in performance compared to the other KWAs but they still are way better than nearly any others out there. The range was a little shorter but the accuracy was about the same as mine (kwa km4).
