Opinions on G&P and thier M16 line

Hey guys ive been looking around for a reliable m16 for almost a year and i wanted everyones opinion of G&P and if there is a better m16 in that price range. Thanks -Joe

The G&P M16VN runs for between $240 and $280 depending on the seller.

It sports a metal body with a hard stock, 360-380 fps out of the box with .20 gram ammunition, 8mm bearing gearbox, and the 110 round VN style mag.

The motor is a G&P M120 High Speed Motor, standard 509mm length barrel, and is advertised to fire 750-850 rounds per minute. (This translates to 13-14 rounds per second which is fairly standard unless you use a battery larger than an 8.4).

By what I read. the G&P has a very fast rate of fire not represented by the statistics above. Perhaps they used a larger battery or a LIPO? I also read that due to the unusually high rate of fire that they tend to have gearbox issues sooner than some other AEGs. Just a consideration for those of us who look for reliability.

I would say most operators are still boasting KWA. (You can find sales on then once in a while. Ask Jensen.) Spartan is the only one still talking about G&P that I know of. Wish I had more for ya. I will keep my eyes on the lookout for intel.

KWA would definately be what a would recommend but pricewise they will run a little more. However for that more money you get 9mm bearings, stronger internals, tighter tollerances, tighter bore barrel out of the box, more reinforced gearbox shell, and a li-po ready gun so you know that it can handle whatever battery you throw in it. If I remember correctly you had a KWA CQB which was a Gen2 gearbox which was good but the gen2 are even beefier and better made which will definately help with the durability. I know there are many people out there with KWA's if you are interested. I have an SR7 and SR10 that you are welcome to shoot some and try out if you want to and Tank has the M16 if you are interested in that one in particular. Just let me know.

yeah im definatly interested in trying out some KWAs specifically the stock M16 but im open to all their m4/m16 rifles, im looking foward to test shooting them come friday/saturday thanks for your help. One last thing does JF carry alot of KWAs ive never been there but i would like to check it out some time soon.

We don't have them in all the time but may get a few in shortly. I know Kwa is waiting on a shipment due in a month or so that will restock most of the rifles they are out of including the m16s

Hey yeah I fully support most G&Ps mostly because of their reliability, COMPATABILITY, and effectiveness. Yoou can put almost any parts into them without worrying about compatability issues. They are really nice. I also love the KWA however, and I am currently using a modified KM16BR as my DMR. I love it to death, and wouldnt trade it for anything.
