RECON 2014 Map and Radio Questions!

Will we get grided maps for the game play and what frequency will command use so we can program our radios?

I know OpCom is working on getting maps made up, I can only assume they will be grid layout. As for the radios, I will try to check with him to see if he has certain frequencies designated for command and teams. Thanks for the questions.

Yes, maps will be issued. They are not finalized yet but will almost certainly have grid references. Radio frequencies have not been assigned yet. Each recon team, HK and OPCOM will have their own frequencies. I will also list a few frequencies that are going to be open for teams to use internally if they want.

In the past, radio frequencies have been assigned by OpCom at the event. In general, 5 5 is opcom reserved. Have a few different ones programmed in to allow for some flexibility.

5-5 will again be reserved for OPCOM. Channels 8 and above will be available for anyone to use as they wish for communicating in-team. Channels 1-7 will be off limits for everyone playing with the exceptions being their assigned channel and 5-5 being allowed in emergencies. Dave, I have sent you an email with the HK frequency.

DC Team radios are fine, I will have the ability to program them on site if adjustments to them are needed.
