Event Description

Good-morning,

This is your friendly, neighborhood, combat engineer officer looking for volunteers for the following projects:

On Saturday, April 5th:

The projects may include:

1) Moving 'new' wooden built walls from the driveway area to the Village. These walls are pre-assembled in sections which are to be joined to create two new structures. There is also the need to prepare two flat areas within the Village for the assembly of these two structures. (Read - 'may' as certainly will, 'moving' as carrying heavy items by hand, and 'prepare' as lots of digging).

2) Due to the recent rain, and before the April Missions Day, there is a need to construct 5-6 bridges across the road/river. (Some of you know this as the preparations for OP: Ardor event). This is quite easy, and goes fairly quickly. I use 16 foot 2x4's and span the road/river in a few places using the trees as the uprights. I add short light 2x3 verticals along these rails to give it more of a bridge look. This creates 'bridges' which the troops will use as the only crossing points for the Ardor event. It is quite fun, and dramatically changes the field dynamics.

3) A quad and driver will be spraying the Poison Oak! (Everyone cheers!)

5) Minor repairs to target area.

There are occasionally snacks and or drinks, but no guarantees. Be prepared.

Bring gloves. Tools if you have them.
