Forces: US vs. VC
Uniform Requirements:
To ensure that the two forces have distinctly visual differences there are uniform guidelines.
US Forces: Tiger Stripe or OD uniforms.
US operators should do their best to represent the uniform of the soldiers they are portraying. K-pots, web belts, boots, packs, and M4/M14 style weapons . . . Boonie hats are restricted to Olive Drab for the US operators wearing OD. Operators wearing Tiger Stripe must include a boonie.
VC Forces: Black/OD historical styled uniforms.
VC operators should do their best to represent the uniform of the soldiers they are portraying.
VC operators are allowed to have any non pattered uniforms. Olive Drab and black are suggested. Traditional neck scarves (Khan Ran) and “rice-hats” are encouraged. VC operators are allowed to wear boonies if they are black or tan. Pistol belts are allowed.
No helmets, caps or olive drab boonie hats on VC operators. Hat-less is fine.
All operators must wear closed toe footwear for safety. (No Ho Chi Min track shoes please).
Weapons: See House Rules HERE. No weapon type restrictions. No lasers or optics please.
Briefing and more, . . . HERE. (link coming soon)
Jen, sad :(.
Josh, that info isn't quite ready but you can assume it is a special forces role. Which probably means more work and harder objectives. ;)
What would the additional requirements be for those wearing tiger stripe? If anyone knows.
Also since it will be a long drive and bringing along alot of gear if you need me to bring bb's/gas or anything else down PLEASE let me know before the game. I will probably not be bringing alot of extras down and would hate to not have enough for everyone if needed.
For the people who dont want to make food to take out into the field i just ordered a couple boxes or MRE's so those will be available first come first serve. So bring some extra cash if you dont feel like dealing with it. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up ahead of time.
Duck: thanks for the briquettes. I have some lighter fluid I will bring, but I am sure we can clear up some garage space and use up those briquettes for you.
I dont mind loading up the bbq if people want to do some burgers and hotdogs or some steak or chicken if we feel like being fancy. I will bring that and supply the briquettes, people just need to bring what they want to cook if we go that way.
Blazed: Will do. Good to have you back out! This is your kinda AO.
StierCo: That would be great, I hope you can make it. Should be a great OP for cooking outdoors. I am a meat and potatoes kinda guy, but I'm easy.
I am hoping to attend this and will have final word by the end of this week also chow may be provided by Alicia if I go and she decides to go also. She will be taking suggestions on what you guys would like so she can determine a price.
So I missed out on the summer pretty much but I had to get used to the new boy! Ill be ready for this one and I need my dose of the DC guys! This one looks awesome cant wait! Let me know if I can help out with anything.
