BRIEFING:
This OP will send another ‘Special Operation Command’ force (SOC) into the allied territory of Tabora, to assist in deterring the advance of Burundi forces operating in the area. The indigenous force, the Tabora Allied Nationals, are not entirely welcoming the assistance. It has been deemed necessary that the SOC demonstrate military guidance in these matters to secure the investments.

The Burundi forces, calling themselves the ‘Northern Unified Coalition’ (NUC), have recently declared rights to the Tabora territory including any resources and technologies discovered within the borders. The “uprising” of the few indigenous people will not deter the military rights of the combined Burundi forces. Should any ‘outsider’ SOF troops choose to intervene, it will be taken as an act of war, and they will be summarily destroyed.

The territory of Tabora has recently been attacked by mercenary forces from neighboring Burundi. The bold Taborian fighters known as ‘Taborian Allied Nation’ (TAN) are a zealotous force and have lived here for centuries. They will defend their homeland and their freedom to the death. Until recently their territory had been devoid of commercial use. Recent investment has made discoveries within their territory. Some of these discoveries are of military interest, and the investors are willing to go to great expense to see that they are protected.

UNIFORMS: Each operator uniform must be of one pattern. No mixed uniforms.

SOC Troops: Woodland, ACU or OD. Operators are requested to wear a BOONIE hat matching their uniform.

NUC Forces: Woodland, or OD. Operators are requested to bring a green SHEMAGH as part of their uniform.

TAN Fighters: 3-6 color Desert. Operators are requested to bring a tan SHEMAGH as part of their uniform.

ALL: If you have a Woodland Boonie hat or a green Shemagh please bring it as a backup for team balance.

WEAPONS: All AEG styles are welcomed so long as they meet the field requirements.

RULES: All Diamond Corps rules apply. Please be familiar with them. They can be found on the Diamond Corps website. Operators are required to carry a RED RAG to signal your death.

OPERATORS: This will be run as a mil-sim OP consisting of several missions each consisting of one or more objectives. Some may be time based. Radio communication is an important asset to each team. Operators are encouraged to bring radios. Map reading, hand signals, tactical as well as leadership skills will be a value to your team. This is not a RADIX style OP, although you may receive radio transmitted info during certain missions.

Remember to bring food, drink, ammunition, radio, backup batteries, red rag, and AEGs.

RSVP Only! If after April 1st all team positions have not been filled, vacancies will be filled by operators having requested assignment.

Thank you for your dedication and understanding.

Yes, I will have one you can use? I would never ask that someone not wear the protection they deem necessary. Join the NUC. Happy to have you.

Sad that we will not have Ferge on the field. He will be missed.

(SOC) 'Special Operations Command' is the term I am using for our true life Special Operations Forces (SOF). I do not to use the true life force names so as not disrespect our real live armed services personnel.
SOC will serve as our version of the SOF of today.

The operators who wear full helmets and masks should probably sign up for the NUC team. This allows them to wear the SHEMOGH over their protection.
Alternately, they can wear a different eye/face protection that will fit while wearing a BOONIE hat.

I will let you know. Keep both kits handy for now.
Getting the last of the lists together this week.
Not all Corps operators have responded.
Those not on the list will forfeit their team spot to those on the waiting list.

Considering the nature of this OP the teams are being kept to small elite forces where teamwork, control, and experience are the standard. There are many more operators whom we enjoy having out to our events, however the teams are being kept small for the experience of the event. This will not be the last event we will host of it’s type, and we will promptly commence with our Missions Day schedule there after.
