OP: SHEPHERD SABRE 19sep09

SCENARIO - In 1967 Israel did not wake up one morning and decide to go to war - she woke up one morning and found she had to defend herself. The Six-Day War of June 5-10, 1967 was a war between the Israel army and the armies of the neighboring states of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. In his speech to Arab trade unionists on May 26, Gamal Abdel Nasser announced: "If Israel embarks on an aggression against Syria or Egypt, the battle against Israel will be a general one and not confined to one spot on the Syrian or Egyptian borders. The battle will be a general one and our basic objective will be to destroy Israel." On June 5, 1967, Israel launched a pre-emptive attack. This claim was, however, disputed by Arab countries that asserted Israel's strike was an act of aggression. Jordan, which had signed a mutual defence treaty with Egypt on May 30, then attacked western Jerusalem. By the 10th of June, Israel had completed its final offensive in the Golan Heights, and a ceasefire was signed the day after. Israel had seized the Gaza Strip, the Sinai Peninsula, the West Bank, and the Golan Heights. Overall, Israel's territory grew by a factor of three, including about one million Arabs placed under Israel's direct control in the newly captured territories. The results of the war affect the geopolitics of the region to this day.

Operation will begin at 0800. Be sharp.
Cost is $10.
Bios are required. Biodegradable BBs in 0.2g and 0.25g weights, every effort is made to make them available for sale at the AO for $15 per bag.

- Ammo Cache
- High Value Target
- Fixed Mortar Position
- Extraction

UNIFORM LOADOUT

IDF Israeli Defense Force: Any modern MIL-PAT (i.e. MARPAT, ACU, ABU, DCU,etc…)

Arab Nation (Egypt, Jordan, Syria): pre-modern MIL-PAT (woodland, 3-color, 6-color, DPM, flectarn, tiger, OD, etc…)

The Corps will go in Woodland.
