Roger Muller of the MCHA (Marine Corps Historical Association) has had a difficult time launching an event in our area. For all the mil-sim enthusiasts who have begged for an event of this type it is still not coming together. For this reason, and to assist in promoting any future opportunities of this nature, I have asked for your opinion in this matter.
The Challenges haven't garnered the support from the areas as they had hoped it would have.
While the MCHA does need a fundraiser, they are unsure if this venue is the way
to go. If you are aware of any other groups that would be interested in
the Challenges, Roger Muller is more than willing to make it happen. He has secured
1,000 acres of land for this use on March 26-28.
There are so many Airsofters who call themselves "Recon" or "Special
Forces" and this would be a great way for them to put their reputation
on the line in a competition designed just to test recon-ability and
search/destroy tactics.
Maybe they should just call it the "slinging bb's contest" and see if people
will just come out for some hi-cap, drum mag, spray and pray slug-fest?
Even though so many people consider themselves "mil-sim" we know that there
are too few of us out there.
