A-TACS

I finally found a new age camouflage that I like: A-TACS (Advanced Tactical Concealment System). It seems it has the desert theater in mind in its design but I imagine they can (and state that they will) offer a variety of colors to suit the environment such as greys and dark colors for urban and browns and OD's for a woodland style. They also have pictures of the weapons (the Magpul ACR displayed prominently), SERPA style holsters and weapon accessories repainted with the A-TACS design on them.

Action Surplus here in Sacramento is taking orders for full uniforms (no info on their price, but USAtacticalsupply.com charges $60 for the shirt and pants and $13 for a boonie hat.). For more info on A-TACS check out the manufacturers website HERE

That is a cool camo design. Looks like it is kind of like woodland camo with the colors faded together at the edges...

reminds me of tigerstripe or sno camo and i don't mean white or the woodland white. seems like it would work well

@Derek: Based on the pictures, the design is for Afghanistan/Iraq urban and rural areas, much like ACU-Desert. I want to see what they have in mind for woodland style because I expect it to have more green but much better blending qualities than even standard woodland (so far the best on DRAEX field).

@Tank: I bet this is built off the snow camo idea. Camouflage has always tried to blend in with what seemed as easy to create patterns. With computer controlled manufacturing our first introduction was MARPAT, which I thought was a waste. Now we have someone using a patter that recreates the noise of the environment not just patters that might help blending you in.

when I said woodland I meant the style of camo (blobs of color that blend with an environment, as opposed to digital or flectarn etc...) not the colors of woodland. I guess I forgot to specify. haha! I look forward to seeing their woodland scheme. I might even buy some if it is good.
