BATTLEGROUND

Airsoft in the YubaCity / Marysville area.

At training day several us were talking about other fun events we could think of besides night games. Someone, I think Tank, mentioned a river based mission (complete with gun destroying rafts lol). it got me thinking. A while back I spent an afternoon with my kids on the horse trails behind Bannister park here in the Fair Oaks area of Sacramento and discovered a great place to possibly run an op day. Because of the popularity of the park I would suggest a late afternoon - evening (say 3-9 or 10pm) run as opposed to our favored early morning ventures. Perhaps even a real operation (truck down the big guns and mortars?). Anyone interested?

I just sent off the e-mail asking the park district to see if they would allow us to have this event on their property, but wanted to get a number of people who might be interested so if this place falls through, perhaps we can find someplace of similar design.

The concessions I've offered to hopefully get a green light are:
-Pre signed liability waivers. Something they would have on file before the op day, that would specifically release them from any injuries any of us might receive on the field. We could use the typical Diamond Corps ones for the actual op itself.

-Bio's. I know they're a little more expensive but it is a nature park area, so i figured offer that up out the gate and let them decide.

If any of you know a better riverside location that would be easier to organize, let me know so we have a springboard in case this idea fails. Also, any op ideas, missions, etc send them over.

Be sure to check in with local PD to insure no one shoots me for real.
Well of course :) liability waivers are no good when a cop shoots you

Interesting. There's water on this field? that sounds fun.
Its a short distance from the American River. However it seems my request was perceived as so ridiculous as not to be worthy of a response...Perhaps my initial location is a dud. Anyone else have a place by a river/lake/stream we could use this same idea for?
im in took me a while to see this but i am definitly in
maybe on the yuba river somewhere for a short stretch or so i am trying to work out who owns a large pond in alta sierra to see if we could do some sort of mission there it is almost considerable as a lake but not quite i will look into it

I am good to go Phoenix, it's just that life has a way of keeping me more busy than I would like. I am watching, just not writing much.

If there's anyone who knows its me. 4 kids and a job that likes to jerk around its employees (I'm just glad that I have seniority or else my availability would be destroyed....). I check here everyday and try to write as often as I can.
