Event Description
OP: EPHEMERAL SPECTRE IV
Desert Historical Modern Milsim at its best.
24 hour RECON Mission.
$20.00 Fee.
Based on Operation Red Wing was a counter-insurgent mission in Kunar province, Afghanistan, involving six members of the United States Navy SEALs , which took place on June 28, 2005. Three of the SEALs were killed during the initial operation, as were sixteen American Special Operations Forces soldiers whose helicopter was shot down while flying to provide support to the team. It was the largest loss of life for American forces since the invasion began. Marcus Luttrell, the only surviving American combatant, was protected by local villagers who sent an emissary to the closest military base allowing a rescue team to locate the wounded SEAL.

- High Value Target
- Fixed Defensive Position
- Extraction
UNIFORM LOADOUT
USFOR: 3 color Desert; Any modern MIL-PAT (i.e. MARPAT, ACU, ABU, DCU, etc…)
Indigenous Forces (AGF): pre-modern MIL-PAT (NON-3color. Woodland, DPM, flectarn, tiger, OD, etc…)
Military uniforms are required for the whole OP both on and off the field of battle. We encourage operators to dress the role, but of course any military uniform is allowed. If you have "both" bring both, we may need you to adjust force levels otherwise arm bands will be available to designate forces if required.
WEAPONS & AMMUNITION
All modern weapons accepted. We strive to re-enact the battle more than to be strict with gear.
Airsoft guns will not chronograph greater than 395 fps (feet per second) with .20g BBs (or 350 fps with .25g BBs)
All operators must use 100% Biodegradable BBs.
Biodegradable BBs in 0.2g and 0.25g weights, every effort is made to make them available for sale at the AO for $15 per bag.

Seven will meet Flapjack, the two will then meet me, and the three of us will meet TANK at 12:30 off McKnight, from there the four of us will drive to the AO.

Seven is planning on joining us.
He will be looking to ride with the team and tank, and will provide some fuel.

FRAG ORDERS:
OP:
The OP will be divided into evolutions with chow/rest breaks built in. Sat. we will be having noon chow in the field. Be prepared to pack your food and water. The scenario will involve using military vehicles to carry out the missions. Some recon will be in very high altitude. As well as along some varied elevated and rocky terrain. Lots of sage brush, boulders and red rock.
Operations will include:
- 24hour RECON
- Attack and Defend
- Hunter-seeker/Evasion
- Vehicle Engagements
- High-intensity LZ extractions
NIGHT OPS (Friday night):
We have planned night evolutions Friday night and possibility running into Saturday. For those who wish to participate, activity will start after dark. Plan to arrive at base camp early to prepare your gear. The Cimmerian Cadre will provide details of the action at the start of each evo.

SAT Feast of Crom Oktober Fest(POT-LUCK)!
Saturday night we will commence with our Feast of Crom. We encourage all of the honorable desert warriors to gather around the long table and feast to the days events. Bring enough food to feed at least five people. Bring your meat for the grill. We will share tales of adventure, good laughs, and hearty ales ...Toast! Cheers! Prost!
Movies!
The captain has also signed the paperwork and we will have movies shown for the evenings. Military themed movies have been approved.
Low-slung vehicles may have difficulty traversing the final hundred yards to camp. Tank, Kate and I may need you to shuttle us the last bit of the way in.

Uniform is Woodland.
Two have suggested it, and I am good with that.
I will miss having Sprocket if he is pitted against us.
He usually brings his alternate uniforms with him, and so should we.
Bring your Sandies just in case.
We are supposed to bring pot-luck food for 5 people, and $20 fee.
