JF Airsoft PRIZE Pistol Competition
You will want to show up at 0800 for check-in and registration for the pistol competition which will begin at 0900. Competition details are 'to be announced'.
On September 8th is the next PRIZE Pistol competition!
Don't miss out on your chance to win prizes from JF Paintball and Airsoft located in Grass Valley!
Here at Diamond Corps, we have been host to several prize competitions such as our Sniper competition and the three-man Devils’ Run. This month’s event, coupled with our Missions Day, promises another full day of challenge and reward for all operators who attend!
The competition will begin at Saturday morning, at 9am. To register, simply have a signed waiver on file at check-in and add your name to the list of participants. Participants will need to have a belt or leg holster, and a semi-auto Airsoft pistol which has been approved by a Tournament Marshal.
Eye Protection is required for all operators competing. This may consist of shooting glasses or goggles or a mask.
Requirements:
$10 competition entry.
Operators will need to have a pistol capable of firing on semi-auto.
Operators will need to have a belt or leg holster for use in the competition.
Any weight ammunition is allowed.
Optical scopes and open sights are allowed. Lasers which project an image on the target are not allowed.
All pistols and holsters must be approved by competition marshals.
Courses of Fire:
Each operator will complete three of courses consisting of four targets each, to achieve the fastest time.
All targets will be eight inches in diameter, and at a range of thirty feet.
Operators will be allowed to run each course twice with the faster of the two runs being recorded toward their total time.
Any time greater than 10 seconds on a course will result in 10 seconds as a default time.
Any course that an operator fails to complete will be given 10 seconds as a default time.
At the end of all three courses, each operator’s best course time will be tallied and divided by three to give that operator Time Final.
Time penalties may be added to a competitors score for unsafe behavior including the following; not clearing a weapon after firing, muzzle sweeping, and failing to re-holster a weapon after course completion. Time penalties assigned by a Tournament Marshal.

I can pretty much tell you that in addition to myself, it is very likely that my two younger brothers, Stevie and Joe, will want to participate too. Joe just got his ATP, and he's been practicing out in the backyard early in the morning.
I have to say though, propane in the morning does NOT smell like victory.
Thanks Ricochet! Dont feel like you may not have a chance either. Things can change quickly with times and defaults. If I remember correctly, last year Bill's friend Charlie, who had never played airsoft before, came out and borrowed a gun from Bill and was able to pull off second place(not too far behind Flapjack I believe). I would really like to try to make this bigger each year if possible so lets get things going. If this goes well then maybe we can work into a bigger and better competition next year. Maybe even using rifles/pistols for the challenge.
C'mon guys. We gotta have more operators than this looking to get the competition blood flowing. John has been very generous in the past with the prizes. What's an extra $10. I know a lot of us like to wait till that day and then decided "Hey this is a good idea. I'm in" but John really needs to see the number BEFORE the Sept Op. Not RSVP'ing could make the difference in some really nice prizes. So hurry up and RSVP so he knows what to expect. Who's to say if they'll even have late registration that day. Or if it'll still be $10. Most competitions like this charge more for not RSVP'ing. Just sayin. It's a good deal.
I would like to see the numbers keep rising. RIght now I have a 1st, 2nd, 3rd package for 20or more entries. This will include, Pistol 1st, gift certificate for JF 2nd, and bag of bb's for 3rd. If I can get the number up to 30+ I might be able to swing a rifle for 1st place, bigger gift cert for 2nd, bb's and gas for 3rd. I really need to see some more RSVP's to be able to swing the rifle. So please RSVP or let your friends know to sign up ASAP. I know it is an extra $10 on top of the normal missions day but I hope to make it worth it.
Or maybe keep is simpler and Gift Certs for both 2nd and 3rd. $50-$75 for 2nd and $25-$50 for 3rd is my suggestion.
I know it's sort of short notice but what about a patch for those who competed. Maybe a gun for 1st like last year, a grenade or something for second, and like a Gift cert ($25 maybe) for 3rd. Just spit balling here.
Hey everyone I am trying to figure out prizes. I am talking to some of our suppliers to try to get more stuff to give out. It would really help if you RSVP if you are coming. I need to be able to give them some sort of numbers to get more items.
