Hmmm. I dunno. Maybe during the summer months, when the evenings are cooler, and it's light out later. I think Komissar will have to make the call on this one, since the field is at his house...
If we're ever going to do a Zombie scenario, which I think is kinda crazy to start with, we should do it at night to give Zed half a chance of succeeding. Otherwise, it won't be any fun for the zombies.
Night OP's are always an option here. I have run several OPs which were kicked off with an at dark mission, or stand alone night scenario. Smaller forces, semi-auto fire, and experienced operators are my suggestions to this type of planning.
If OPCOM does their job properly there is a good deal of stealthy maneuver to accomplish non-engagement type objectives, and perhaps the opportunity for a small skirmish.
Run improperly; operators are laying in wait for hours while nothing ever happens. Or, . . . the team's own point-man is relentlessly unloaded upon during a frenzied torrent of full-auto, released into the darkness in front of them. Either of these leaves a considerable impression on the operators. It can be done, . . . but it takes balance by the OPCOM.
Camping is also an option. Nothing like telling stories of battle around the campfire, and then a nice hot mug of coffee in the mornin'.
A night OP is sounding more and more attractive. Campfire? War stories? Music to my ears! I wonder where to get some MREs to add to the immersion experience...
