GENRE: Modern

BRIEFING: Indo-Pakistani War of 1999: Commonly known as Kargil War, this conflict between the two countries was intense but limited. Pakistani troops infiltrated across the Line of Control (LoC) and occupied Indian territory in the Kargil district. India launched a major military campaign and used 9 Para (SF) to flush out the infiltrators. Pakistan was forced to withdraw its forces back across the LoC.

Operators will tackle high altitude terrain this engagement.

UNIFORM LOADOUT

You will never be turned away if you do not have authentic era gear. They are trying to make it feel like you are in an actual combat zone in the high Kashmir. They ask that you try to meet the load out requirements. The closer your can get to authentic impressions, the better the experience will be for you and the other participants. If you do not have modern gear, no problem.

We have had several inquiries from participants who want to come to the OP but are not sure they have an authentic uniform. Uniform authenticity is not critical. Attitude is more important. Try your best. It is easy to put together a uniform at little expense. Do your best, be creative, and that will be fine. If you have a full authentic uniform that is great, bring it out and be a star!

BASIC UNIFORMS
India Forces - (Ladakh Scouts and 9 Para/Commando )Any OD/British/Russian combination is recommended.

Diamond Corps Uniform: Pakistani Forces - (Special Service Group (SSG), also known as Black Storks) Any OD/US/Woodland pattern combination is recommended.
