Raven: You are a go! Let me know if any other changes need making.
Far from practical for sure. I don't see why you wouldn't just wear soft body armor. its easily concealable and give you the same amount of protection.
Nice find Zack. Fun to watch. As shown on the video, rifle rounds goes right through. I am impressed it stopped the 9mm, but I don't think your arm would be anything but a bloody broken mess after the first round due to the force of impact.
On the topic of shields, I just stumbled across this. I still think I would rather wear armor then have it strapped to my arm, but it was still interesting to see. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKyRTE6RSYs
No, Bucklers are for honorable combat. ;)
Well sure John, but the riot shield is part of your gear, and gear hits count... So it's like walking around with a man sized target that makes a distinct sound when hit.
Point of interest: There are no hand carried shields in existence which will stop any round used by the military service. I am unaware of any hand carried shield which will stop any round. This is a video game lie sold to the public. Riot shields are to stop rocks and bottles. They do not stop bullets.
